“A man who has lived in many places is not likely to be deceived by the local errors of his native village; the scholar has lived in many times and is therefore in some degree immune from the great cataract of nonsense that pours from the press and the microphone of his own age.”

-C.S. Lewis

God calls us to love him with our minds. To do so we need to develop the ability to think rigorously and biblically about the world around us. As C.S. Lewis observed, “Good philosophy must exist, if for no other reason, because bad philosophy needs to be answered.” One day a week Blue Ridge Fellows take a class together through Reformed Theological Seminary's distance education program.  Fellows listen to a lecture together, discuss the reading and complete written assignments.  Classes (which can be taken for credit or enrichment) include Acts- Romans in the fall and Apologetics in the spring.
