When are applications due?
To be considered for early acceptance your application and all three references are due by November 30th. The standard deadline is January 30th. Consideration is given to applications received early. You will be notified of acceptance or declination within 30 days of each deadline.
What does it cost to be a Blue Ridge Fellow?
The fee for the full year's program is $6,900. You can pay this out of your means, or you can raise support to cover the cost. We can give you excellent training and coaching in support raising. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due when you accept an invitation to the program and is credited toward your total fee.
Can you help me raise support?
Yes! We'd be happy to give you excellent training, resources, and coaching to help you explain the vision of the Blue Ridge Fellows and invite others to partner with you in this strategic initiative. God is rich and will provide all you need as you follow him.
How many Fellows will there be?
We typically accept up to 10 Fellows: 5 men, and 5 women.
When does the program start?
The Blue Ridge Fellows season usually begins Labor Day weekend, at the beginning of September. The program finishes Memorial Day weekend, at the end of May.
How recently do I need to have graduated?
We will consider applications from individuals who completed their undergraduate degrees in the last 2 years, or upcoming Spring.
Is the Blue Ridge Fellows Program an independent ministry?
We are independently incorporated with our own Board of Directors, but we live in relationship with Church of the Holy Spirit, a thriving community of believers in Roanoke, VA. We also voluntarily associate with The Fellows Initiative which unites numerous Fellows Programs across the country.
